That idea is the whole reason Kiddo AI exists. Children light up when they hear their own name in a story — when the hero has their age, their interests, their courage. But writing a new illustrated storybook for your child every night isn't something most parents have the hours, or the drawing skills, for.
So we built an app that does it with you. You tell Kiddo AI who your child is. Kiddo AI writes, illustrates, and narrates the rest.

What Kiddo AI Is
Kiddo AI is an AI-powered personalized storybook platform for children ages 2–12, available on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
You add a profile for each child — their name, age, reading level, and the things they love. From there, every story Kiddo AI creates uses your child's actual name, weaves in their real interests, and adapts its language and themes to their age and reading level. Each story arrives as a complete illustrated book with full-page artwork and optional audio narration, ready to read together tonight.
A story, not a template
Stories are generated fresh each time, not pulled from a library of pre-written books with a name swapped in. Two children with the same request get two different stories.
Your child, on every page
When a parent chooses to upload a photo, Kiddo AI creates an illustrated character based on it, so your child's character looks consistent from the first page to the last.
Choose the look
Illustration styles range from 3D-animated and hand-painted watercolor to comic book, anime, and classic storybook — pick the one your child loves most and watch every scene come to life in it.
Read it, or hear it
Stories can be read aloud by AI narration with adjustable reading speed, selectable narrator voices, and optional background music. There's a distraction-free Zen mode, six text sizes, light/dark/sepia themes, and a Child Mode for younger kids who need a simpler, more guided experience.
Eleven languages
Stories can be created in English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese — chosen fresh each time you create a story.

Bedtime stories do more than fill the ten minutes before lights out. They're often where a child first meets a hard feeling from a safe distance — and where they get to watch someone their size be brave about it.

How It Works
Three steps, no writing required.
1. Add your child
Their name, age, reading level, and favorite things. That's all Kiddo needs to begin. You can add a profile for each child in the family, and more than one child can star in the same story as co-protagonists.
2. Pick a purpose
Choose what the story is for — a superhero adventure, a fun quest, learning an important value, a life lesson, facing a fear or obstacle, comfort and understanding, or celebrating a special moment. Then customize the setting, the art style, the language, and any supporting characters. You can add your own custom instructions, or ask the AI to suggest ideas tailored to your child.
3. Watch the story come to life
The story writes itself in front of you — text streams in as it's written, then illustrations are generated page by page. Most stories are finished within a couple of minutes.
Afterwards, the story is yours. It lives in your Library, it can be read again as many times as your child asks, and reading progress is saved so you can always pick up where you stopped.
Designed with Child-Development Principles
Kiddo AI's storytelling is shaped by guidelines drawn from child psychology, child development, and early education — age-appropriate language, emotional safety, and gentle pacing.
In practice that means a few concrete things:
- Reading level is a real setting, not a label. Parental Read, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced each change how a story is written — vocabulary, sentence length, and narrative complexity.
- Age shapes the themes, not just the words. Stories for younger children use simpler language and gentler themes; older children can be given more complex narratives and bigger challenges.
- Fears and sensitivities are used to exclude, never to include. If you tell us your child is afraid of the dark, that's information we use to keep the dark out of their stories.
- Content safety is checked, not assumed. AI-generated content goes through a multi-provider safety review before it reaches your family.

What We Stand For
The safety and privacy of children isn't a section at the bottom of our policy — it's the constraint we designed the product inside of. Kiddo AI complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union.
Only parents hold the account
Accounts are created and managed by parents and guardians through Google or Apple sign-in. Children do not create accounts and do not interact with the app in any way that involves data collection. All child profile information is entered by the adult who owns the account.
Children's data is used for stories, and nothing else
Child data personalizes the story and keeps it safe — the name in the book, the age-appropriate vocabulary, the interests that shape the plot, the fears and sensitivities we route around. We do not use children's data for advertising, marketing, or profiling of any kind.
No ads, no ad networks, no tracking
There are no advertising SDKs in Kiddo AI. No behavioral ad targeting. No third-party analytics SDKs — Firebase Analytics is explicitly disabled. No third-party crash reporting SDKs. And we never sell personal data or share it with data brokers.
Consent before a photo becomes a character
Uploading a child's photo is optional. Before the first child profile is created, parents must actively consent after reading our Children's Privacy Policy — and that consent explicitly covers the photo-to-avatar process, where a photo is used to generate the illustrated character that appears in your child's stories.
Security basics, taken seriously
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We never store passwords — authentication runs entirely through Google or Apple. Push notifications are only ever sent with your explicit permission. No system is perfectly secure, and we don't claim otherwise, but we take reasonable steps and we tell you exactly what they are.
Your data, your call
Parents can review, correct, export, or delete their family's data — including deleting child profiles directly inside the app at any time. For formal data requests, write to hello@kiddoai.net and we'll respond within 30 days.

Story time is rarely a solo activity, and Kiddo AI isn't built as if it were.
Everyone can join
Invite grandparents, a co-parent, or a caregiver to your family account by email. Whoever tucks them in can read tonight's story too. Each person signs in with their own account while sharing the same children, stories, and collections, and the account admin controls who's in the family.
A profile for every child
Each child gets their own age, interests, and reading level — so every story fits just right, even when siblings want very different things.

Parents create, kids choose, grandparents listen along. The best part of Kiddo AI isn't the app — it's the ten minutes it gives back to your family.
Meet Koda
Koda is our koala, and the friendliest face in the app.
Koda guides families through the Kiddo AI experience — sharing daily wisdom, fun animal facts, and parenting tips, and turning up in different outfits depending on where you are (there's a writer's beret for story creation). Children can visit Koda's Corner from the menu to spend time with Koda directly.
Koda exists because an app for families shouldn't feel like software. It should feel like someone's happy you came back.
